Cari, LALD
Executive Director
Cari brings to Gianna Homes more than 25 years of experience working with seniors. Her background includes marketing, outreach, management in both CCRC and memory care communities. Cari also spent time as a director of an adult day program where she managed all aspects of the operations. Cari is Licensed as an Assisted Living Director in the State of Minnesota.
Cari started at Gianna Homes as the Director of Marketing and immediately felt at home with the culture and family atmosphere. As Executive Director of Gianna Homes, Cari plans to continue focusing time on building relationships with families, staff, volunteers and guests. She also plans to continue spreading the word about Gianna Homes and the tremendous, loving care we provide.
Cari lives in Maple Grove with her husband Don and their 3 sons. In her free time, Cari enjoys spending time watching her boys play hockey and baseball as well as going to the family cabin in northern Minnesota.
Finance degree from University of Wisconsin La Crosse.
Worked as an accountant for 5 years after graduating. Then decided to stay home with 3 children and volunteered at school, church and as a treasurer for various organizations for 15 years. Before starting to work at Gianna Homes, Cindy worked and presently works during tax season as an enrolled agent for 25 years. When the youngest child was a Junior in High School She wanted to get back into the working world part-time and started working for Gianna in December 2011.
Loves to take care of her granddaughter, knit and spend time with family.
Our Support Team
Sara
Human Resources
Sara has a background in the health field from spending years as a CNA before continuing to earn her TMA. She has worked in many areas ranging from hospitals, short term rehab, assisted livings, memory care units, and skilling nursing homes. She soon began a new journey into the management side of nursing through positions in Health Information and Human Resources. Her passion has always been in the medical field which led her to pursue human resources in both skilled nursing homes and assisted livings. She brings that understanding of the CNA position into her work in human resources to connect with staff and recruit new staff.
Sara currently lives in the Western Suburbs with her young daughter. In her free time, she enjoys playing with her daughter, spending time with her family, gardening, baking, and reading almost any book. She continues to expand her knowledge in human resources by pursuing a degree in Human Resource Management.
Kate, RN
Kate comes to Gianna Homes with a wealth of knowledge, experience, and passion to serve the residents. Her work experience includes Home Care, Memory Care, Assisted Living, and Hospice.
Kate has been married for 28 years and has 4 wonderful children. She loves to travel, paint and spend time with her family. She is passionate about reflecting God’s love in the care she provides.
Emily, RN
Emily comes to Gianna Homes holding bachelor’s degrees in nursing, biology, and public health. She previously worked in memory care and assisted living facilities as a certified nursing assistant and a trained medication aide. She began her nursing career in acute rehabilitation working with individuals recovering from injury or illness that affect their ability to live independently. Her most recent experience is in the Intensive Care Unit, specializing in Surgical and Neuro Critical Care with an emphasis in stroke, traumatic brain injury, and spinal cord injury. It is here she has obtained her certification as a Critical Care Registered Nurse.
Outside of work, her favourite pastime is being at the lake in northern Minnesota with her husband, son, and dog. During Minnesota’s cold winter months, she finds her way to local ski resorts to snowboards or downhill ski with her family.
Molly
Molly has worked as a special education teacher for 16 years. During that time, she had the opportunity to work with individuals with various abilities. She has a unique understanding of the rewards and challenges that each stage of development brings and how to differentiate activities to meet each individual’s needs.
Molly has a heart for serving others and building trusted relationships. She loves to listen to resident stories and find unique ways to bring to light residents’ interests at Gianna Homes. Molly brings joy and laughter through life-enriching activities, resources, and events.
Molly lives in Minnetonka with her husband and three adult children. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, painting, and spending time with her family.
Dian
Home Coordinator
Dian has a bachelor’s degree in human development and family studies. She has worked with all ages, from infants to gerontology. She spent ten years in the Washington, D.C., area working as a live-in nanny and teaching kindergarten.
She returned home to Minnesota and has enjoyed spending time with her aging parents. She has experience in activities and administration in assisted living settings.
During her free time Dian likes to be in open water, whether swimming, kayaking or cold water dipping.
