Our story

Founded in 1999. Small on purpose, ever since.

Gianna Homes was founded in 1999 by Anne Marie Hansen. More than 25 years later, we continue to be locally owned and operated and are one of the most sought-after senior care providers in the Twin Cities.

We provide two memory care homes — Sursum Corda in Minnetonka and Gladys’ Place in Plymouth. We care for those in all stages and various forms of dementia — Alzheimer’s disease, Lewy body dementia, frontotemporal dementia, and more. Our residents receive highly skilled care in a small, residential setting and can remain in the home they know through changing needs and the end of life.

Through Gianna HomeCare, we bring the same loving kindness, personalized attention, and professional support directly into your home. Our focus is on highly personalized, relationship-centered care, helping individuals remain safe, comfortable, and independent — wherever they are in their journey with dementia or other care needs.

Named for Saint Dr. Gianna Molla

Dr. Gianna was a woman of uncompromising love…

Born in Milan, Italy, Dr. Gianna was a woman of uncompromising love who demonstrated complete commitment to those in her care. In her work, Dr. Gianna lifted the spirit of her patients with her selfless, compassionate care. Her unparalleled devotion to her faith, her family, and her profession was ultimately expressed in her decision to sacrifice her own life to save the life of her unborn daughter. With the blessing of her family, it is in her spirit that we operate Gianna Homes every day with love and compassion.
