DESCRIPTION:Please join the Gianna Homes family for our annual gala as we raise monies for the “Steve & Mary Mattson Fund\,” which provides financial assistance to residents. We are excited to have Dr. Gianna Emanuela Molla\, daughter of namesake Dr. Gianna Beretta Molla\, as our evening’s keynote as she makes her historic first visit to Gianna Homes. \nThis year’s Angels Among Us event will include Dr. Molla who will show us how to live; our generous donors who continue to teach us how to give; and the many faces of staff and volunteers who bring the light of love to those who call Gianna “home.” \nOver the past 18 years\, families have told us that we have been the answer to their prayers in their time of need. This evening is about honoring those we have served and raising money to continue to lend a helping hand to those residents in most financial need. \nWe look forward to seeing you on October 27th. \n– The Gianna Family

SUMMARY:The Risks of the Game
DESCRIPTION:Our 2016 Gala Fundraiser was spectacular! There was amazing food\, wonderful prizes\, intriguing speakers and amusing guests. We managed to raise just over $114\,000 for the Steve and Mary Mattson Fund which directly supports keeping our residents in their ‘homes’. \nWe had Minnesota’s own retired hockey player\, Jordan Leopold\, who has a history with the Gophers and the Minnesota Wild as our evening’s keynote. Having suffered more than eight concussions throughout his career\, he knows firsthand the Risks of the Games he loves and the long-term impact on his brain. This year’s gala will be exploring concussions\, dementia\, and long-term care. He has partnered with the Brain Alliance of Minnesota to bring awareness to the impact of concussions on individuals and their families. \nWe thank all attendees and sponsors for your support.
